A Little About Me
Hello! I’m Katelyn, and I started Smooth Sailing VA to help entrepreneurs feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their day-to-day operations.
I love creating systems that work, tackling the details that slow you down, and cheering you on along the way. When I’m off the clock, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, watching the latest Netflix favorite, or coaching CrossFit.
My Background
Before starting Smooth Sailing VA, I spent four years working for MOCA, a collaborative business studio that helps entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses aligned with their values.
At MOCA, I had a front-row seat to the realities of running a small business — from big transitions to the tiny daily details that keep everything moving. As a Connector, I specialized in project management and client communications, focusing on the behind-the-scenes support that helps businesses thrive.
Over those years, I worked alongside hundreds of entrepreneurs in every stage of business, from startups to established teams. That experience gave me a deep understanding of different working styles and tools — and the ability to adapt quickly to what each business truly needs.
When MOCA shifted away from project work, I launched my own Virtual Assistant business to continue offering the same adaptability, organization, and relational care I’d become known for.
Availability
I offer flexible support to match your needs — whether that’s a few hours a month or consistent ongoing assistance. I take on a limited number of clients at a time so each partnership receives my full attention.
Day-to-day communication happens through email, and responses are sent Monday–Thursday. I don’t respond to emails on Fridays so I can focus on behind-the-scenes work that keeps your business moving forward. Calls can be scheduled at least 2 business days in advance when something’s better discussed live.
